Cape Brett Hiking Guide

The Cape Brett track is a rewarding 16.5km hike along the spectacular Cape Brett peninsula, with amazing views over the Bay of Islands & Whangamumu headlands.

The track begins at Oke Bay (Rawhiti) and takes approximately 7-8 hours out to the Cape Brett Lighthouse and DOC Hut where you can spend the night on the edge of the Cape Brett Peninsular.

After spending a night at the Hut, walk back to Deep Water Cove for your Water Taxi back to the start of the walking track (Oke Bay)

  • To/From Cape Brett to Deep Water Cove takes approximately 2 hours (4km) one way
  • To/From Cape Brett to Oke Bay/Rawhiti takes approximately
    8 hours (16.5km) one way

We provide a water taxi service between Deep Water Cove, Oke Bay & Paihia/Russell
